Cherry Studio
Connect Cherry Studio to Bamboo Relay.
Cherry Studio provides desktop conversations, assistants and knowledge bases. Bamboo maintains this compatibility guide; the application is maintained by its own project.
Configuration
Create a key in API Keys, and copy an available model ID from Models.

Setup
- Open Settings → Model service and add a custom OpenAI-compatible provider.
- Name it
Bamboo Relay, and enter the API key and the URL appropriate for the current field. - Add a model manually by its exact Bamboo model ID, or use model discovery when supported.
- Enable the model and save.
- Start a conversation or assistant session and send a test message.
Application notes
For a provider that automatically appends OpenAI paths, use https://api.bamboonode.cn. For an explicit OpenAI Base URL, use https://api.bamboonode.cn/v1. A duplicated /v1/v1 indicates that you should remove the suffix. Configure a separate Embeddings model for knowledge bases.
Troubleshooting
401: confirm that the key is complete and enabled. Do not addBearerin a key input field.404: check whether the application appends/v1and avoid a duplicated suffix.- A model or permission error: check the exact ID, supported protocol and API-key group.
